President Vladimir Zelensky believes that Ukraine will become a member of the EU before 2030. The president said this on November 4 during an online Q&A session at the EU enlargement summit.

When asked how he sees Ukraine's chances of joining the EU before 2030 and his chances of becoming the president who "brought Ukraine to the EU," Zelensky said, "I would like to believe that Ukraine will be in the EU sooner. Perhaps it sounds unrealistic - but defending Ukraine's independence from Russia also sounded unrealistic."

The president believes it would be fair if "Ukraine became a full member of the EU at the end of the war."

"Certainly, I would like to be the president of Ukraine, which is in the EU. But this does not mean absolutely that this is the most important thing for me. The main thing is for Ukraine to be able to join the EU. And who will already be the president at that moment - it is secondary," - said Zelensky.
