US President Donald Trump in a conversation with Venezuela's ruler, a friend of Belarusian dictator Lukashenko, Nicolas Maduro threatened to use force if he did not leave office voluntarily.
This is reported by The Wall Street Journal.
The presidents discussed amnesty requirements for Nicolas Maduro, his aides and their families in a phone call, according to the publication's sources. Now they are included in the US sanctions lists and are under criminal prosecution in the country.
It became known earlier about the telephone conversation between the presidents of the United States and Venezuela.
It is noted that the conversation took place a few days before the State Department recognized the "Sunshine Cartel" as a terrorist organization. The United States authorities believe that the cartel is headed by Nicolas Maduro.
