Ukrainian forces are holding back the invaders and preventing them from entering the city center.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has announced plans to completely cleanse Kupyansk in Kharkiv Region from Russian occupants. The head of state said this at a briefing on Monday, November 3, "Ukrinform".

He said that the situation in Kupyansk, where about 60 enemy soldiers remain, was discussed at the Stavka meeting.

"We will clean up everything, in principle, the dates have been determined, but we will not share information yet," Zelensky said.

He also described the situation on the front, particularly in the Pokrovsk direction.

"Pokrovsk - the enemy has had no success in recent days, 26-30% of all the fighting on the front takes place in Pokrovsk. And 50% of all KABs are used in Pokrovsk. You understand how ours is not easy," Zelensky said.

The head of state assured that the situation in Limansk and Kramatorsk directions is stable, without significant changes, and the operation in Dobropillya continues.

"The commander-in-chief said that they have still cleared 2-3 km, but Russia realizes that it has lost the initiative there completely, and we understand that it is preparing revenge. It is clear that they are accumulating troops by interceptions, by all signs we understand," Zelensky added.

On November 2, Viktor Tregubov, head of the communications department of the Joint Forces Grouping, said that the Defense Forces had struck the Russians in Kupyansk, which slowed their offensive.

He noted that the situation in the Kupyansk direction remains difficult, but Ukrainian forces are holding back the occupiers and preventing them from advancing into the city center.

On October 26, the chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov falsely reported that Russian forces had completed the encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the city.
