OPEC+ Countries Decide To Increase Oil Production For The 10th Consecutive Month

Eight OPEC+ countries agreed a 10th consecutive increase in oil production targets for December, warning they will pause quota hikes in the first quarter of next year.
Based on a stable global economic outlook and favorable current market conditions, supported by low oil inventories, the eight member countries decided to raise quotas by 137,000 barrels in December, Reuters a statement from OPEC+.
From April to November, the eight OPEC+ members raised their production quotas by more than 2.7 million bpd, about 2.5 percent of global supply.
After December, due to seasonality, eight countries including Saudi Arabia, Russia, UAE, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Kazakhstan and Algeria decided to suspend production increases in January, February and March 2026, the statement said.
