Serbia is ready to sell ammunition to the EU.

Serbian President Alexander Vucic has said that the country has large stocks and capacities for the production of ammunition and is ready to supply them to other European states - even if these ammunition then ends up in Ukraine.

He said this in an interview with Cicero.

Vucic said Serbian storage facilities are "overflowing" and production, particularly of mortar shells, exceeds the needs of many countries.

"Our warehouses are full of ammunition and we produce a lot, especially mortar shells. We produce more ammunition than France... Ammunition is needed in Europe," the newspaper quoted the president as saying.

Vucic added that he had offered European partners to conclude sale and purchase agreements: according to him, this "would be a phenomenal help to European security." When asked by journalists whether the buyers would be able to use the purchased shells in Ukraine, the president answered bluntly: "they can do whatever they want with them".
