And shared his opinion on the end of the war in Ukraine.
US President Donald Trump has said that he has no plans to transfer Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine for the time being.
He told reporters aboard Air Force One.
"No. Not that I can't change my mind, but not yet," Trump said succinctly when asked about the possibility of transferring the Tomahawk to Ukraine.
Trump was also asked during a press call what would be the "final straw" that would convince him that Vladimir Putin does not want to end the war. The US president responded ambiguously:
"There is no last straw. Sometimes you have to let a conflict burn out. They're fighting, and they're fighting among themselves."
Trump added that the war is hard "for both Ukraine and Russia":
"Putin has lost a lot of soldiers, maybe a million. That's a lot. And it's hard for Ukraine. Sometimes you just have to let things come to an end."
The website Charter97.org previously wrote that The Pentagon has given the go-ahead for Tomahawk missiles to be delivered to Ukraine.
