Details of a unique operation.

In October 2023, 14 soldiers of the special unit of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine "Brotherhood", part of the "Timur group", carried out an operation that even experienced sailors and special forces considered suicidal - they traveled 200 km by open sea on ordinary jet skis, which are usually used for walks 10-15 km from the coast, landed in occupied Crimea, attacked a strategically important Russian radar station and returned back.

The operation was led by "Timur" himself, whose real name and surname in the GUR do not disclose. This is stated in the book "GUR Island. Secrets, Operations, War," reports New Voice.

The book contains his account of the operation: "The difficulty was that the distance was large: from the launch site to the Russian base on the coast - about 200 kilometers. That was what was the biggest problem - the distance. After all, even traveling on the sea on jet skis is not so difficult - it is difficult to spot such small objects in the Black Sea. We had a case when one jet ski broke down and we had to find it with a drone - it turned out to be almost unrealistic. <...> The jet skis allowed the fighters to quickly and discreetly approach the Crimean coast".
