Lukashenko's Friend Left Guinea-Bissau After The Coup

Guinea-Bissau's deposed president Umaro Sissoko Embalo has arrived in neighboring Senegal after being freed by the country's coup military, BBC.
Oumarou Sissoko Embalo was released and left Guinea-Bissau, Senegalese authorities said.
The release of Oumarou Sissoko Embalo was made possible after negotiations by the regional bloc ECOWAS. African representatives insisted on the release of the politician and ensuring his safety amid growing tensions in Guinea-Bissau.
The Senegalese Foreign Ministry said Embalo arrived in the country on a special flight late Thursday night, November 27. At the same time, the statement stressed that Oumarou Sissoko Embalo is "safe and unharmed."
The military of Guinea-Bissau has already appointed an interim leader of the country, General Orto N'Tam, who will govern the country for a year.
Reminder, on May 7, 2025, Oumarou Sissoko Embalo flew to Minsk and met with Alexander Lukashenko. The latter said that Belarus was ready to supply Guinea-Bissau with a wide range of necessary products, including foodstuffs, clothes, footwear, industrial goods.
