"It is not the time to speculate about the reasons - the investigation will find out everything. It's not the first airplane to go down, others have taken off, the walkways are constantly monitored. (...) Always do the usual actions that are required in winter. Today there was nothing unusual. According to our information, all necessary measures were taken to keep the walkways in good condition," the director said.

He said it is not yet completely clear how many passengers and flights were affected by the incident, but we are talking about several dozen. "Quite a few planes were diverted to other airports - Kaunas, Riga, others. Some companies have postponed flights and are waiting for the possibility of departure. We are talking about several dozens of flights," Bartkus said. He added that passengers should contact their airlines for compensation.
