Minsk is going for blackmail.

President of the Lithuanian association of carriers Linava Erlandas Mikenas told "Belsat" that the Belarusian authorities wanted negotiations with Vilnius at the level of deputy foreign ministers.

Now, according to Mikenas, 4,000 units of Lithuanian equipment are held in Belarus: 1,250 tractors, the rest - semi-trailers. One has to pay €120 per day for parking at special sites:

Mikenas also confirmed that the Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Wolfovich met with the drivers of Lithuanian trucks, and threatened to confiscate the equipment:

"The information was such that he said that if this situation is not clarified in four months (I don't know from what date he counts), but in four months they will be confiscated. This is the main message to the drivers who were there at the meeting."

In addition, Wolfowitz blamed Vilnius for Belarus not releasing Lithuanian cars: "Well, of course. There is this information going on there all the time."
