Bloomberg: Apple Will Become The Leader In The Smartphone Market

Apple has overtaken Samsung in terms of shipments in the smartphone market for the first time in 14 years. This is reported by Bloomberg with reference to a study by Counterpoint Research (CR).

The experts estimate that in 2025, the IT giant from the United States is preparing to record a 10 percent increase in iPhone shipments. Its rival Samsung has increased sales by only 4.6 percent. If the CR figures are confirmed, Apple will become a leader in the global smartphone market by the end of 2025. The last time the iPhone manufacturer took the first place in the market in 2011.

The CR experts noted that Apple's success is due to good sales of devices of the iPhone 17 series. In the first month of sales, iPhone shipments rose 22 percent, while the entire market declined 2.7 percent. For October, shipments of the US company's smartphones increased 37 percent year-on-year, while the market grew 8 percent.

The piece said Tim Cook's corporation will end the year with a 19.4 percent share and overtake Samsung. The Korean IT giant's share was not disclosed.

The CR analysts estimate that Apple will remain the world's largest smartphone seller until at least 2029. This will be helped by the release of the foldable iPhone and the low-cost iPhone 17e.
