Alexander Stubb: Ukraine's Future Is Ukraine's Decision

The Finnish president made the statement after talking to Zielenski and Rutte.

Finnish President Alexander Stubb on November 25 had a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. He announced this on social network X.

The discussions were also attended by Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen.

According to Stubb, Zelensky during the conversation gave an overview of the latest situation on the progress of peace efforts in Ukraine.

"The future of Ukraine is for Ukraine to decide, and European security is for Europe to decide. The work between Ukraine and the United States continues. The next days are crucial in our efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace," the Finnish President summarized what he heard.
