The GSD reported the details.
GUR experts have revealed the structure, components and elemental base of the Iranian drone Shahed-107, which Russia is using in the war against Ukraine.
This is reported by Telegram of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine.
It is noted that for the first time the new drone was publicly presented by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in June this year during the escalation of the Iran-Israel conflict.
Shahed-107 is an unmanned aerial vehicle of the upper glider type with a wingspan of 3 meters and X-shaped tail feathering, which performs stabilization functions. The hull is made of carbon fiber, while the power components are made of aluminum.
Drone design
The examined sample is equipped with a 15 kg shaped fragmentation warhead, similar in its characteristics to other warheads of Iranian Shaheds. The power plant is represented by a Chinese two-stroke gasoline engine DLE 111.
Similar small-capacity engines have already been repeatedly fixed in the design of Russian drones "Gerbera", "BM-35", "Parody" and "Delta".
Based on the capacity of the fuel tank - 28 liters - the range of application of Shahed-107 is about 300 km.
The navigation system is based on an inertial navigation system similar to Sadra, a jamming protection unit and a four-element jamming antenna. The flight is controlled by a flight controller.
Components for the creation of the drone
The geography of the electronic component base of this drone is traditional for Iranian and Russian developments: the United States, Switzerland, China, Japan, Taiwan, the Netherlands, and Ireland.
"The appearance of the Shahed-107 from Russia and its use against Ukraine is further proof of the deepening cooperation between Tehran and Moscow. Iranian weapons continue to undergo combat tests exactly on Ukrainian soil," the GUR added.
