Red light running and compliance with lane signs began to be automatically recorded at intersections. For this purpose, a republican video surveillance system was connected. Now "letters of happiness" will come for violations, said the main department of the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The traffic police began to use automatic recording of violations related to the passage at the prohibiting traffic light and compliance with the road signs "Direction of movement by lanes" within the intersection.

Automatic control is conducted by the Republican system of monitoring public safety (RSMOB). Gradually, the number of places where red light running is detected will increase.

"After the violation is processed, the owner of the vehicle is sent a resolution on bringing the vehicle to responsibility (a "chain letter"). At the same time, an SMS-notification may be sent, which does not specify the amount of the fine and the settlement account. The fine can be paid through the ERIP system or at bank branches," the traffic police said.
