US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has rejected the 28-point plan on Ukraine and believes that the proposal is not in line with the policies of the Donald Trump administration. About it writes Financial Times, citing its sources.
The publication claims that Rubio talked to members of the US Senate. Those concluded that the official was seeking to distance the U.S. from the peace plan. "This is not our recommendation. It's not our peace plan," said Senator Mike Rounds, who represents the Republican Party. Independent Sen. Angus King called the proposal "a wish list of the Russians." Rubio also said during the meeting that he was not aware of any threats not to transfer U.S. weapons or intelligence to Ukraine if it refused to sign the agreement.
