They will protect the Baltic Sea from sabotage.

The Greyshark underwater drone, built in Germany and packed with high-tech, is supposed to patrol the Baltic Sea to protect critical infrastructure, detect enemy reconnaissance units and monitor the waters, writes Bild.

This unmanned mini-submarine from Bremen-based manufacturer Euroatlas has just passed sea trials. Thanks to its hydrogen drive, the drone is able to operate for weeks without refueling. The model has several variants. In the Foxtrot variant it is even possible to sail for up to 4 months and up to 10,000 nautical miles.

The drone uses 17 high-tech sensors. Artificial intelligence-based software processes the data in real time and recognizes possible enemy objects.

The mass production of the Greyshark could begin next year, Euroatlas manager Markus Beer said. There are already interested buyers, he said.
