Trump Announced "very Powerful" Sanctions Against Russia

US President Donald Trump has said he will soon impose "very powerful" sanctions on Russia. Those sanctions, he said, would be designed to make it harder to sell Russian oil.

"No, no ... very powerful sanctions... They're going to go into effect very soon and they're very powerful, very powerful," Donald Trump said on Fox News Radio.

Trump added that he was not yet going to lift the sanctions already in place against Russian oil companies. On October 22, the US imposed blocking sanctions against Rosneft, LUKOIL and their subsidiaries. Soon LUKOIL announced that it was looking for a buyer for its foreign assets.
