Lukashenko's Regime Has Not Received Official Messages From Lithuania About The Opening Of Borders

  • 19.11.2025, 19:19

Earlier, Vilnius reported on the early opening of the border with Belarus.

Lukashenko's regime has not received any official notifications from Lithuania regarding the opening of border points between the two countries. This was reported by State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Wolfovich at an interdepartmental meeting.

"At the same time, seeing the inconsistent, unconstructive steps of the Lithuanian government, we are monitoring the situation, keeping it under constant control," said Wolfovich (quoted by BelTA).

The matter concerns two border checkpoints - Miadzinkai and Šalčininkai. Lithuania closed them on October 29 until the end of November. The Lithuanian authorities explained their decision by the increasing number of launches of weather probes with contraband from the territory of Belarus. In response, Minsk stopped allowing Lithuanian trucks through the border. Today, Lithuanian mass media reported about the possible opening of border checkpoints with reference to the relevant government decision.
