The opposing coach instigated a scuffle.

Nigeria and DR Congo met in the final match of the second round of the African Football Confederation (AFC) qualifying playoffs, New Voice reports.

At the end of 120 minutes of play, a 1-1 draw was recorded, while the DR Congo national team was more fortunate in the 11-meter shootout, 4-3.

After the penalty shootout, Nigeria's head coach Eric Schell ran toward the opposing team's coaching bench to clear the air.

The coach said at a press conference that a member of the DR Congo team performed voodoo cult rituals during the penalty shootout.

"A member of the DR Congo coaching staff performed voodoo rituals during the penalty shootout. So I got angry and wanted to stop him. He was spilling some liquid from a bottle and I'm not sure if it was water."
