Zelensky Flew In To See Macron

The media reported that an important deal would be concluded between Ukraine and France.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has arrived on a visit to France, where he was personally met by his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. The Reuters news agency, citing two unnamed interlocutors privy to the matter, wrote that agreements on air defense and warplanes would be concluded.

Zelensky published a video of the meeting ceremony: the president was personally congratulated by Macron, and a military band played the anthems of Ukraine and France.

According to Reuters, talks have been underway for weeks on how France could provide more air defenses to Kiev, "despite political and budgetary instability in Paris that raises questions about what France can actually do."
