Hungarian PM: Russia Will Not Attack EU Because It Is Not Strong Enough

Viktor Orban said that "the Russians have been unable to end the war in Ukraine for more than three years".
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has called "ridiculous" claims that Russia might attack the European Union because, in his opinion, it is not strong enough. He expressed his position in a podcast by Axel Springer Media Group CEO Mathias Döpfner, which was published on YouTube.
"With all due respect, I think it's ridiculous to say that Russia will attack the EU or NATO simply because it's not strong enough. We are much stronger than they are. The European Union has more than 400 million people, Russia about 140 million," Orban said.
He pointed out that the military capacities of the 27 EU countries are far superior to Russia's. Orban also said that "the Russians have been unable to end the war in Ukraine for more than three years." He therefore questioned how Europe could claim to be weaker than Russia.
