Lithuania Detains Drone Operator Flying Near Vilnius Airport

Lithuania has detained a man who, according to the Lithuanian security service, launched a drone near Vilnius airport.

The Lithuanian Public Security Service reported.

According to the security service, at 12:00 on November 15, the system detected the drone taking off in a prohibited area in Salininkai.

And although the drone soon disappeared from the system's field of vision, at 12:07 the security service detained the alleged operator. He was handed over to the military police. Law enforcers began administrative proceedings.

The detainee now faces a fine of 400-800 euros. According to the man, he did not know that in this place was not allowed to launch a drone.

It is noted that at the time of the incident flights were not canceled.
