Vance Explained Why Trump Needs To Talk To Putin

The US president is pursuing "aggressive diplomacy".

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance explained why President Donald Trump is dialoguing with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

So, in an interview on Fox News he said Trump is pursuing the "aggressive diplomacy" that is necessary to achieve peace.

"You don't have to agree with Vladimir Putin's decision to invade Ukraine, but if you want to achieve peace, you have to be strong. You also have to talk to people. You have to engage in aggressive, active diplomacy," he said.

He also noted that Trump's position is to focus on peace but not let the media dictate how he does things.

"His doctrine is to have the strongest military in the world, focus on peace, but not let journalists in Washington tell you who you can talk to and how to do diplomacy," Vance emphasized.
