It is one of Russia's strategic plants.
On the night of November 15, drones massively attacked the Ryazan region of Russia. An air alert was declared in the city, locals heard explosions and saw fires.
In particular, at around 04:00, an attack on an oil refinery began. Locals reported more than 10 explosions.
Later, photos and videos of the refinery engulfed in flames appeared online.
In particular, footage of the attack was made public by the "Supernova+" telegram channel.
A female voiceover counts the number of explosions and wonders why the Russian air defense system does not work.
"They are bombing us again. And once again! Where the air defense is looking, I don't understand. And again. Four times already. I don't understand what's going on," a woman commented as she filmed a video of drones hitting a refinery in Ryazan.
The extent of the damage to the Russian oil refinery is now unknown.
Ryazan Region Governor Pavel Malkov did not comment on the strike on the region.
At the time of publication, the Ukrainian side also did not provide any information about the attack on the Ryazan refinery.
It is worth noting that the Ryazan refinery belongs to Rosneft. It is one of the strategic plants of the occupiers, which, among other things, produces jet fuel for military aircraft. It is also important for fuel supply of the Moscow region and other areas. The annual refining capacity is 17.1 million tons of oil.
