Poland Opens Two Crossings On The Border With Belarus

The timeline has become known.

Two Polish border crossings on the border with Belarus are scheduled to open on November 17. This is stated in the draft order of the Ministry of Interior and Administration of Poland, reports PAP.

According to the document, on November 17, 2025, traffic will be resumed through two so far closed road checkpoints on the Polish-Belarusian border - "Bobrowniki" (from the Belarusian side - "Berestovitsa") and "Kuznica" ("Bruzgi").

"Kuznica" is planned to open only for passenger cars, excluding buses. "Bobrovniki" - both for cars and buses. Also through this border crossing will be allowed cargo transport, but with restrictions: only vehicles registered in the EU countries, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) states - parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area, and in Switzerland.

"The planned measures are aimed at resuming the movement of people and goods. This is a response to the requests of society - especially the numerous group of entrepreneurs, carriers and migrant workers, who daily cross the border between Belarus and Poland," reads the justification to the document.

Now, only one border crossing point - "Terespol" ("Brest") - is open for road traffic on the border between Poland and Belarus, while "Kukuryki" ("Kozlovichi") is open for trucks. Three railway border crossings for freight traffic have also been opened.

On October 28, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that Poland is ready to open two more border crossings on the border with Belarus in November: in Bobrowniki (on the Belarusian side - "Berestovitsa") and Kuznica ("Bruzgi").

But on October 29, the Lithuanian Cabinet of Ministers decided that the Lithuanian-Belarusian border will be closed until November 30 due to the increasing number of cases of meteoprobes arriving with contraband. And Polish Interior and Administration Minister Marcin Kerwiński said that Warsaw decided to support Vilnius and postponed for several weeks the opening of two border crossing points in the Podlaskie Voivodeship.
