The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky came to the front. In particular, he visited the Orekhovskoye direction in Zaporizhzhya region.

The President of Ukraine visited the command post of the 65th separate mechanized brigade "Velykyi Lug", which is part of the 17th Corps and is now holding the defense in the Orekhovskyi direction.

"Control point of the 65th separate mechanized brigade Velikiy Lug. I have the honor to be here today, to thank the soldiers for their service and to recognize them with awards. Now the brigade as part of the 17th Corps is leading the defense in the Orekhovsky direction. Thank you for defending Ukraine, keep the strip here," - stated in the message.

The head of state heard a report on the operational situation in the direction, enemy activity and losses of the occupants.

They discussed with the commanders measures to strengthen the defense of the Orekhovsky direction - first of all, staffing, supply of certain types of weapons and equipment, in particular light armored, as well as equipping units with electronic warfare equipment.

Special attention was paid to the development of unmanned units and scaling up the brigade's positive experience in the use of ground robotic systems for evacuating the wounded.

They also discussed the steps needed to expand this practical experience to other units.

"We are doing everything to strengthen the soldiers," he emphasized.
