There was a "rain of fire" over the city.

On the night of November 13, the Russian city of Orel was attacked by Ukrainian-made Flamingo missiles, which Russian air defense forces shot down right in the middle of residential neighborhoods, writes "Focus".

This caused the cruise missile debris to fall directly into the yards of local residents, as seen in a video released by the Exilenova+ Telegram channel.

"Orel. The very debris," reads the caption to the video, which shows burning parts of a downed target flying in the sky above a residential neighborhood. This debris falls into a courtyard next to residential high-rises and parked cars.

The debris of the downed target is "flamingich debris" (from the name of Ukraine's long-range Flamingo cruise missile), according to the Supernova+ Telegram channel.

The governor of the Orel region, Andrey Klitschkov, has confirmed that it is the missile danger that has been declared in the region.

"A missile danger has been declared in the Orel region! If you are at home, hide in rooms without windows with solid walls: in the hallway, bathroom, closet. If you are on the street, go to the nearest building or appropriate shelter," Klitschkov wrote.

It should be noted that there are several oil depots in Orel.

Orle is also home to a military base from which Russian troops launch Iranian Shahed-type drones at Ukraine. This base has 8 launch pads on the ground and a 2.8 km long road section where drones can be launched from vehicles.

The city is located at a distance of about 150 km from the northeastern border of Ukraine.
