Kazakhstan will not help Russia with oil products.

Against the backdrop of the visit to Moscow of the head of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev, the local Ministry of Energy has imposed a six-month ban on the export of major oil products from the country. Including - to the EAEU countries. And including - to Russia.

As stated in the justification of this decision, it is taken "in order to ensure national security and stability of the domestic fuel market."

According to the order, the ban on the export of oil products from Kazakhstan, including to the EAEU countries, is imposed for six months - from November 20, 2025 to May 20, 2026, writes Forbes.

It covers gasoline, diesel fuel and a number of other oil products (including the EAEU HS codes 2709, 2710, 2902, 3403, 3811, 3826).

An exception is made for lubricating oils, fuel in the tanks of vehicles installed by the manufacturer (when crossing the border not more than once a day), aviation fuel exported for research and testing work in coordination with the authorized body and supplies carried out as part of humanitarian aid by decision of the government of Kazakhstan.

In addition, the document provides a separate ban for six months - from January 1 to June 30, 2026 - on exports from the territory of Kazakhstan outside the customs
