France Ready To Produce New Weapons In Ukraine

The Department of Defense revealed the details.

Ukraine and France have discussed the development of joint projects in the defense industry. Among other things, the parties considered the possibility of financing through European mechanisms.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports.

The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Sergey Boyev held a meeting with the French arms attaché Colonel Frederic Bal and Toma Moreau, head of the Representative Office of the Group of French Defense and Security Enterprises of Ground and Aerial Ground Industries (GICAT) in Ukraine.

The parties discussed the development of joint projects in the defense industry.

"The solution in the field of interceptors is a priority for Ukraine. We continue to expand cooperation with our partners to provide our soldiers with effective air defense equipment," Boyev stressed.

The parties separately considered the possibilities of financing joint projects, in particular, with the involvement of resources of European mechanisms.

The parties also discussed interaction between Ukrainian and French defense industry enterprises:

production of air defense and missile defense systems, missiles to them;

repair of equipment;

testing of innovative solutions;

delivery of components;

development of new weapons taking into account the experience of modern warfare.

The French side confirmed its readiness to implement new joint production projects in Ukraine.

Boev, in turn, thanked France for its systemic support and partnership, which contributes to the strengthening of Ukraine's defense capability.
