Zaluzhny: Ukraine Will Not Go For Capitulation Disguised As Agreements

A just end to the war with the Russian Federation would be to restore Ukraine's territorial integrity and "punish" Moscow.

Former AFU commander-in-chief and current Ukrainian ambassador to the United Kingdom Valeriy Zaluzhny assured in an article for The New York Post that Kiev will not agree to a surrender disguised as a peace deal.

He said a just end to the war with Russia would be to restore territorial integrity and "punish" Moscow. In addition, Kiev should receive guarantees that "no aggressor will ever again threaten Europe from Moscow," he reasoned.

Any other outcome Zaluzhny considered "at least a betrayal" not only of Ukrainians, but also of the principles that ensure "security and freedom." Ukraine will continue to fight, the former AFU chief said.

"Our strength lies not only in our soldiers, but also in the clarity of our goal: peace through victory, not illusion," Zaluzhny wrote.
