More than a third of the base has been destroyed.
An attack on an oil depot in the village of Gvardeyskoye, near Simferopol, became known on the night of October 29. Almost immediately, photos with a large column of smoke appeared in social networks, but it was unknown whether the oil depot was hit or whether the smoke was the result of burning of the downed UAV.
NV accessed satellite images from October 30 and November 1, confirming that the oil depot was successfully hit. Despite the fact that more than a day had passed since the hit, significant smoke could still be seen at the site on the afternoon of October 30.
The source of the smoke is several tanks in the northeastern part of the oil depot, where the hit is believed to have occurred.
Preliminary analysis indicates that 4 fuel and lubricant tanks out of 11 existing at the base have been destroyed or significantly damaged.
So about 36% of the tanks have been destroyed. Back on October 29, journalists' sources confirmed that the attack on oil depots in Crimea was organized by the SBU. In addition, UAVs hit the Pantsir-S2 SAM system and two radars.
In the case of the base in Gvardeyskoye - this is the second successful attack in a few weeks. Last time the oil depot was hit on October 17, when the facility could not be extinguished for about 2 days.
The oil depot in Gvardeyskoye belongs to Kedr LLC, which owns the largest network of ATAN gas stations in occupied Crimea (more than 100 gas stations).
