(updated) Moscow has been attacked by drones.

Residents of Moscow suburbs complain about the disappearance of light on the evening of October 31.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to local Telegram channels.

Residents of Moscow suburbs report that in the evening light began to disappear in houses and streets.

Video of dark streets is published by local media.

They also write that the power outage occurred "due to an emergency situation on the power grid."

Before that, local publishers published information about unknown drones flying toward the Russian capital.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin at 23:40 reported the shooting down of one drone on its approach to the city.

In the town of Zhukovsky in the Moscow region, located about 20 kilometers from the Russian capital, electricity has completely disappeared. Local Telegram channels write about it.

"Due to an emergency situation on the power grid, there was a power outage to many addresses," the press service of the Zhukovsky administration said.

The network showed footage of blackouts in the Moscow region and in particular in Zhukovsky.

"The Moscow region is losing light," commented the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council Andrey Kovalenko.

Drones also flew toward Moscow: the city mayor Sobyanin said on social media that Russian air defense forces allegedly "repulsed the attack" of a drone that was heading toward the Russian capital.

"Emergency services specialists are working at the site where the wreckage fell," the Russian official noted.

Sobyanin later wrote in his Telegram channel that Russian Defense Ministry air defense forces allegedly shot down 5 Ukrainian UAVs flying at the Russian capital. Another 11 Ukrainian drones were allegedly shot down over the Moscow region.
