Ukrainian defenders continue to conduct a counter-offensive operation in the Dobropillya direction. They have already liberated more than 180 square kilometers of territory.

Syrsky said that during his working trip he held a meeting with the command staff at one of the control points in the Dobropillya direction. He heard reports on the current situation and the fulfillment of tasks.

The general also talked to the commanders of units engaged in the search and destruction of Russian saboteurs and separate groups of occupants in the encirclement.

"Despite the constant counterattacks of the enemy, the assault units of the Defense Forces continue offensive actions in some areas. In total, 180.8 square kilometers of Donbass territory have been liberated during the operation, 212.9 square kilometers have been cleared of saboteurs," the AFU commander-in-chief said.

According to Syrsky, he found out the problematic issues and needs of the Ukrainian offensive group and gave orders.

The general promised that the Ukrainian defense will be active in the future.

The work on strengthening the defense in the Pokrovsky direction is also underway. It is about improving logistics, protection of roads and critical infrastructure.
