Brussels called for punishing third countries helping Russian Federation in the war.

The European Parliament demands the extension of sanctions against Russia to countries "contributing to its actions," such as Belarus, Iran and the DPRK. This is stated in a resolution of the European Parliament adopted on October 8.

The document says the EU must show determination and make it clear that any third country helping to encroach on the sovereignty of member states will immediately face retaliatory measures.

"Deputies call on the EU Council and the European Commission to increase the effectiveness and impact of sanctions against Russia in order to definitively undermine its ability to continue its brutal Sanctions measures should be extended to all states contributing to Russia's actions, such as Belarus, Iran and the DPRK," the European Parliament's resolution reads.

The deputies are also in favor of imposing sanctions against Chinese companies supplying Russia with dual-use goods and military products needed to produce drones and missiles.
