Partisans said the number of Russians who are against the war has grown.

The guerrilla movement Atesh said they are being joined daily by new supporters from among residents of cities in the south of the aggressor country of Russia who oppose the war launched by the Russian Federation in Ukraine.

Atesh says "southern Russia is rising up against the war." In particular, residents of Krymsk, Elista and other cities in southern Russia.

"People are tired of the criminal war that takes away their sons and destroys the future," the publication said in Telegram channel Atesh on October 9.

The guerrillas say the population of the southern regions of the Russian Federation sees the consequences of the war against Ukraine firsthand.

"Overcrowded hospitals, funerals in every district, impoverishment of the population. This forces them to act," Atesh claimed, also publishing a photo of the resistance's leaflets distributed.

The guerrillas also called on Russians to "contribute to the fight against the regime." Provide data on military facilities, locations of equipment and information on troop movements.
