Belarusian Bank Warned Clients About Problems In Russia

"Sber Bank (Belarus)" warned customers that they may have difficulties with receiving SMS in Russia. The reason is the introduced roaming restrictions in this neighboring country.

"Sber Bank (Belarus)" reminded customers "about the introduction of restrictions by the state authorities of the Russian Federation from October 6, 2025."

"They include mandatory 24-hour blocking of data and SMS services for all subscribers in roaming, registering for the first time in the networks of Russian telecom operators. In this regard, there may be delays in SMS delivery for the bank's clients who are roaming in the territory of the Russian Federation," the bank specifies.

Reminder, Russian telecom operators from October 6 introduced mandatory 24-hour blocking of data and SMS services for all subscribers in roaming, registering in their networks. Moreover, these restrictions do not affect calls.

Operator A1 explained that the blocking is automatically applied from the moment of the first registration in the networks of Russian operators and is valid for 24 hours, after which it is removed.
