The drone was spotted in a no-fly zone.

A drone was spotted flying in the Finnish capital Helsinki on Monday near the presidential palace, where airspace use is restricted, Yle reported.

A witness who saw the drone over the presidential palace and neighboring buildings in Helsinki reported it to emergency services.

He also said he saw two men launching drones nearby, who said they were tourists from Hong Kong.

The Helsinki police said they were aware of the incident, but law enforcers decided to close the case "as it was confirmed that the drone was no longer flying in the restricted area."

Inspector Markus Koskinen of the Helsinki Police Department said that every week law enforcers receive reports of drones, which are usually launched by tourists.

There are several areas in Finland where the use of airspace is restricted - administrative quarters in central Helsinki, as well as the official residences of the president and prime minister.

In recent weeks, reports of unknown drones being launched in various European countries have increased.
