In Russia, Eight Airports Have Halted Operations

Eight airports in Russia temporarily stopped working on Monday night, October 6.

Rosaviatsia reported that airports in Sochi, Nizhny Novgorod, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Yaroslavl, Kaluga, Tambov and Saratov did not work at night.

Rosaviatsia did not specify the reasons for the shutdown. However, Rosaviatsia said that the restrictions were introduced to "ensure flight safety."

Russian Telegram channel Shot wrote about explosions due to drone attacks in Ryazan, Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Tuapse and Sochi. In addition, the publick reported that the Russian air defense "destroyed" a drone in the Moscow region.

The Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country claims that air defense forces "shot down 251 Ukrainian drones" overnight over Russian regions.
