Lithuania has asked the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the European Commission to assess illegal violations of the country's airspace and consider possible measures at the EU level to prevent such provocations.

In his letter, Lithuanian Transport Minister Juras Taminskas asked to assess illegal airspace violations posing a threat to aviation safety under the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation.
