SBU Told About Strikes On Russian Ships

Thanks to the maritime drones of the Security Service of Ukraine, 11 Russian ships were hit. This was reported by the press service of the agency in response to LIGA.net.

The first use of SBU marine drones occurred in 2022 to attack ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol Bay, and since then this weapon has been constantly evolving and improving, the security service said.

"With this invention and its effectiveness, the SBU changed the course of the war, in particular, influenced the distribution of forces in the Black Sea in favor of Ukraine and unblocked the grain corridor. Russian ships are forced to hide in other ports, in particular Novorossiysk," the agency said.

The SBU points out that in total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, it has hit 11 warships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet with its maritime drones and successfully attacked the Crimean Bridge in July 2023 (it was the second of three attacks by the special service on the facility. - Ed.).

The agency lists 11 ships hit by its naval drones:

- frigate "Admiral Makarov" (hit by a prototype drone);

- frigate "Admiral Essen" (prototype);

- minesweeper "Ivan Golubets" (prototype);

- patrol ship "Ladny" (prototype);

- missile carrier "Samum" (Sea Baby);

- missile carrier "Buyan" (Sea Baby);

- ship "Pavel Derzhavin" (Sea Baby);

- large military tug "Professor Nikolai Muru" (Sea Baby);

- reconnaissance and hydrographic ship "Vladimir Kozitsky" (Sea Baby);

- landing ship "Olenegorsk Miner", near Novorossiysk (SBU drone "Mamai");

- tanker SIG, near Novorossiysk (SBU drone Mamai).

According to open sources, all of them were hit during 2022-2023.
