Hrodna Resident Attacked Law Enforcers With A Knife

In Hrodna, police officers who came to a call about a troublemaker shot a man who allegedly went in their direction with a knife, the state newspaper "Hrodzenskaya Prauda" reported.

In Hrodna, the "102" line received a report that a man was allegedly behaving inadequately on the staircase of an apartment building and scaring the residents. A police squad was sent to the place.

While communicating with the police, the man, according to the law enforcers, took a knife out of his pocket and headed in their direction. He was repeatedly asked to stop, but the man allegedly did not respond. After the next warning, "the weapon was used against the offender.

The troublemaker turned out to be a 51-year-old resident of Hrodna. He was taken to the hospital, not seriously injured.

Investigators opened a criminal case for resistance to an officer of the internal affairs bodies, involving the use of violence (part 2, article 363 of the Criminal Code). Previously, the man was brought to administrative responsibility more than 40 times.

Part 2 of Article 363 of the Criminal Code threatens Hrodna resident with punishment from arrest or "chemistry" up to seven years in a penal colony.
