What Illness Caused Lukashenko To Skip The Subbotnik?

  • 28.10.2025, 10:14

The diagnosis of the dictator is hidden from the Belarusians.

Lukashenko skipped the country's October 25 clean-up day, which fueled rumors of his illness. In the past, the dictator did not miss an opportunity to appear on camera with a log or plant trees.

Many resources claim that Lukashenko has a whole bouquet of illnesses that increasingly make themselves known with age. The website Charter97.org has gathered information about the dictator's health.

Diabetes mellitus

This disease has been attributed to Lukashenko for quite some time. There is talk that the ruler has a neglected form of the disease. Some referred to his swollen feet, saying that one of the family photos showed ulcers in the dictator's shin area, and that a toe on his right foot had been amputated. Some then speculated that Lukashenko had 3rd degree diabetes with late complications.

Prostate Cancer

The EUobserver wrote about Lukashenko's prostate cancer. "In February 2010, Alexander Lukashenko was in Switzerland, where he underwent prostate surgery, a senior diplomat in the European Union told EUobserver.com," the publication wrote.

Politologist Dmitry Bolkunets once said that Lukashenko was forming a commission to deal with his own funeral, which had already been scheduled by the minute. Minsk has thus decided to follow the example of the late Soviet Union, where general secretaries decided "where to bury the leader," while Lukashenko himself has been treating a diseased prostate for fifteen years, which he had operated on in Europe back in 2010.

Insult

Russian political analyst Valery Solovey, citing sources, said that doctors once managed to save Lukashenko after a stroke. Doctors preserved the life of the ruler, who had already suffered a number of microstrokes that damaged the dictator's facial expressions. Before that, Solovey claimed that Lukashenko was saved by Chinese medics and that the dictator had clearly had more strokes.

Psychopathy

Lukashenko was diagnosed with "mosaic psychopathy" during the examination for appointment to the post of collective farm chairman, and in 1978 the head of the Mogilev regional foodstore, where the future ruler worked as a Komsomol secretary, sent the latter to be examined again "in connection with inadequate behavior." With this diagnosis Lukashenko was discharged from the army.

Joint problems

In the late summer of 2021, footage of Lukashenko's press conference appeared on the Web, where many people paid attention to the usurper's gait - a number of media considered it quite strange.

The footage of the dictator barely dragging his feet while descending from the airplane.

At the parade in Moscow on May 9, 2023, Lukashenko could not walk to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on his own. He was driven by a car.

In 2024, the situation repeated itself.

Head Tremor

Lukashenko's head is shaking more and more often. A doctor at a hospital in Minsk who wished to remain anonymous told Charter97.org in a commentary that the dictator may have essential tremor.

- Lukashenko has begun to show signs of tremor. That is, he has problems not only with his head, but also with his nervous system. Tremor is an involuntary movement suddenly occurring in one muscle or group of muscles by an erroneous command of the brain. There are so many factors that can cause head tremor. For example, it can be caused by organic and functional changes in the nervous system in the area of the cerebral cortex in multiple sclerosis or brain tumors. But most often such a symptom occurs under the influence of nervous tension, severe stress or alcohol abuse.

According to the doctor, old age does not spare anyone and diseases at this age begin to come out.

- Head tremor can occur even after 40. Obviously, the dictator is under a lot of nervous tension. Perhaps we will see Swan Lake in the coming years," the medic noted.
