One of them wanted to escape to Algeria.
In France, law enforcers detained two attackers who committed a robbery of the world-famous Louvre museum in Paris.
It became known to Le Figaro.
The publication says that two criminals involved in this high-profile robbery were detained on Saturday evening.
One of them was apprehended at Roissy airport as he was about to board a flight to Algeria.
The operation was carried out at around 10pm by the anti-gang brigade (BRB) in charge of the investigation, supported by border police officers.
The second criminal was apprehended by the Paris judicial police in Saint-Denis.
The eight jewels of the French royal family, worth 88 million euros, had still not been found as of Sunday morning.
In the immediate aftermath of this high-profile robbery, which exposed a security failure at the world's most famous museum, Interior Minister Laurent Nunez expressed confidence that the case would be solved soon.
The criminals left a lot of evidence at the Napoleon Gallery, including more than "150 DNA samples, fingerprints and other traces," Paris prosecutor Laura Beccua said last Thursday, who also expressed "optimism."
Police are now on the trail of accomplices, who they expect to catch in the coming hours.
Reminder, the museum robbery took place on the morning of October 19 and lasted less than 10 minutes. In total, nine jewels of Napoleon and Empress Eugenie were stolen. Two of them have already been found: Eugenie's crown damaged in a hurry and one more item.
After the high-profile theft, it became clear that a yet-to-be-published report by the French Court of Auditors said there were security problems at the Louvre.
After the high-profile robbery, the Louvre moved some of the jewels to the Bank of France.
