"The European Parliament awarded the Sakharov Prize to journalists imprisoned in Belarus and Georgia - Andrzej Poczobut and Mzia Aglomabeli," the Lithuanian politician said. - Together with our colleagues from the liberal group Renewing Europe, we strongly supported these brave fighters for freedom and democracy. The joint victory of these journalists will undoubtedly inspire the Belarusian and Georgian civil society not to give up!

We will demand the release of Andrzej Poczobut and Mzia Aglomabeli, as well as all political prisoners in Belarus and Georgia.

We will remind, October 22, the European Parliament awarded the Sakharov Prize "For Freedom of Thought" to the political prisoner Andrzej Poczobut, sentenced to eight years in prison. The awardee was also Georgian journalist Mzia Aglomabeli, who was imprisoned.
