Lukashenko signed the Law "On amending laws on criminal and administrative responsibility," reported the press service of the dictator. It concerns restrictions on the import and use of drones, as well as military service, writes "Mirror".
The law establishes administrative responsibility for "illegal import into the territory of Belarus, storage, trafficking, operation or manufacture of civilian drones."
The law establishes criminal liability for similar actions, committed repeatedly after the imposition of an administrative penalty.
The main provisions of the law come into force 10 days after its official publication.
Reminder, in accordance with Lukashenko's decree № 97, individuals are prohibited to store, turnover and operation of civilian drones. Until March 27, 2024, the owners of drones had to transfer the devices "for storage to an authorized organization of civil UAVs and aircraft models."
The innovations should also affect evaders
"The House of Representatives" passed the bill on September 16. It was reported at the time that it corrects various codes as well as the law on military service. It provides for exemption from criminal liability for evasion of "measures on conscription for military service, conscription for military service, from attendance at training camps (classes)" - If a person has declared to the body conducting the criminal proceedings that he or she is ready to fulfill military duty and has entered the military register, has undergone the measures of conscription, has reported for training or classes.
Belarus does not serve with a criminal record, but an evader can be called up to the army again a year after serving his sentence: this article refers to crimes that do not pose a great public danger, and the conviction is expunged after a year.
That is, now any caught evader must be tried by law, and as a result, such people will definitely not be called up for service for more than a year.
According to a member of the "permanent commission" of the "House of Representatives" on legislation Yury Maretsky, criminal prosecution can be terminated not only during the investigation, but also during the trial.
An administrative responsibility for "malicious evasion of a convicted person from the execution of additional punishment in the form of a fine or in the form of deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities" is also introduced.
