Occupiers receive bandages, absorbent cotton and bandage packs from 1977.

The Russian military involved in the invasion of Ukraine are receiving medical supplies dating back to 1977 as humanitarian aid. This is reported by the Z-channel "Courses of Tactical Medicine", publishing photos of boxes with Soviet bandages, absorbent cotton and dressing packs from almost half a century ago, reports The Moscow Times.

The author of the channel asks a rhetorical question: "Do you really think that fighting with headscarves from 1977, with Soviet dressing packs from approximately the same period is an extreme necessity?". The publication stresses that the problem is systemic: "We are talking about systematic, mass deliveries carried out by organizations with big names and solid funding." The channel calls to stop "nostalgia for absorbent cotton and gauze of the USSR times", noting that "this nostalgia is dangerous for life".

"While you are nostalgic, the enemy is using the most modern means of defeat, and we should counter them not with yesterday's, but with today's technologies," the "military correspondent" is indignant. As an example, he cites modern Israeli bandages and new-generation hemostatics, pointing out that the Russian military is receiving "remnants of the last century."

Information about 50-year-old gum aid came amid other reports of difficulties in the Russian military. According to the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the number of HIV cases among Russian soldiers has increased by 2000%, which the foundation attributes to the conditions in the Russian army: unprotected sexual contacts among the military and drug use.

At the same time, the Russian military is forced to resort to non-trivial methods of combat operations. As Z-"war correspondent" Semen Pegov reported, the Russian Armed Forces have begun "reviving the Russian cavalry" due to a lack of equipment - the military storming AFU positions began using horses to move around the battlefield. There are also numerous cases of donkeys and camels being used to transport cargo, including ammunition.
