In case of continued strikes on the Ukrainian energy sector.

Ukraine will arrange a blackout in Moscow in case the Russian army attempts to destroy the Ukrainian energy sector and plunge the country into darkness, Chief of the AFU General Staff Andrey Gnatov said in an interview with Ukrinform "Any action of the enemy aimed at harming our country will receive a symmetrical response. Absolutely right everything the president [Volodymyr Zelensky] said, and we will find opportunities, we will also find weapons and carry out these operations, they [Russia] will definitely realize that this way they will not achieve an advantage," Gnatov said.

Last week, Zelensky threatened "Kremlin officials" with strikes with long-range US weapons after a meeting with President Donald Trump. "They need to know where the bomb shelters are. They need this," the Ukrainian head of state claimed. He also warned the Kremlin against strikes on energy facilities, saying, "If they threaten a blackout in the Ukrainian capital, for example, they should know in the Kremlin that there will be a blackout in the Russian capital." The Wall Street Journal's sources, in turn, reported that Trump has authorized the Pentagon and intelligence agencies to give Kiev data for strikes on Russian energy facilities, including power plants, refineries and more.

Gnatov added that Ukraine is "doing well with any weapon," including long-range weapons. Russia still maintains an advantage over the AFU in the number of combat aircraft and missiles, but the Ukrainian military "uses" these types of weapons in a "different way," the head of the AFU General Staff said. It does not follow, however, that "they can gain an advantage at the expense of this, which would give them a chance to win the war," he said.

In the evening of September 28, a missile strike by the AFU on Belgorod resulted in a massive power outage and hot water outages. Preliminarily, during the shelling, one of the missiles hit the Belgorod Thermal Power Plant (TPP). Also, the "flight" hit the city substation "Luch". In addition to Belgorod, Stary Oskol, Shebekino and several other settlements in the region were partially without electricity.
