Orenburg gas processing plant stopped receiving gas from Kazakhstan due to a UAV attack. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan in Telegram on October 19.
"According to PJSC Gazprom, on October 19, 2025, an emergency situation occurred at the Orenburg gas processing plant due to a UAV attack, in connection with which the plant temporarily stopped receiving raw gas from the Karachaganak field," the report said. - Information on the nature of the damage and the timing of the plant's restoration by the Russian side has not yet been provided."
The gas supply to Kazakhstan is not affected, the agency added.
"Gas to domestic consumers is supplied in the normal mode, without any restrictions," the statement said.
In the morning, the governor of the Orenburg region Evgeny Solntsev noted that as a result of the UAV attack, one of the shops of the gas plant caught fire.
