A Lithuanian patrol detected the aircraft by sound.

In Vilnius district, not far from the border with Belarus, border guards detected and forcibly landed a smugglers' drone with a cargo of 750 packs of cigarettes. The contraband was labeled with Belarusian excises. This is reported by the Lithuanian Border Guard Service (VSAT).

Lithuanian border guard patrol detected the aircraft by sound. An anti-drone was then launched and a message was sent to the Air Force.

When the drone was shot down, Lithuanian border guards found that it had a GPS transmitter with a SIM card attached to it, and a roll wrapped in plastic sheeting lying nearby. Inside they found 750 packs of NZ Gold cigarettes with Belarusian excise stamps. The cost of these tobacco products, including all mandatory taxes payable in Lithuania, is €3892.

In 2025, officers of the Border Guard Service of Lithuania have already intercepted about fifty similar drones, which were used to smuggle smuggled tobacco products from Belarus.
