The National Bank Of Belarus And The IMF Held Online Talks

For the first time in three and a half years.

At the invitation of the IMF, First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank Alexander Egorov is holding an online meeting with representatives of the fund, reported in the press service of the National Bank.

The National Bank emphasized that the dialogue between Minsk and Washington resumed after 3.5 years.

Belarus has been a member of the IMF since 1992. During this time, it has received support in the amount of $3.8 billion.

Now our country is not implementing financial programs with the fund, all previously received loans have been repaid in full and in due time, reported in the press service of Lukashenko.

The interaction with the fund is carried out mainly in the framework of technical and advisory assistance and annual monitoring, conducted by the IMF.
